She soon became the manager and head instructor where she started and competed at the lower level of eventing and showjumping. During the winter months, Charlotte worked at Heritage Farm in Easthampton, MA, training and riding sale horses.

Alicia Coviello
Alicia has been riding horses since age 4 and knew when she was a child that she wanted to pursue a career with horses. She began competing, grooming, and riding with Crickerbrook Farm in Monroe, CT at age 12 and focused mainly on hunter/jumpers there. Later, Alicia decided to expand her riding into eventing, and she began riding and competing under Cindy Mooney's instruction in Woodbury, CT. There, Alicia competed and assisted in training young horses for the eventing world.
Attending Nonnewaug High School, Alicia chose to focus on Equine Management. After graduating from Nonnewaug, she attended the Talland School of Equitation, acquiring her BHS Stages 1, 2, and 3. She also trained for and was certified in PTT as a Preliminary Riding Instructor through the BHS program. At Talland, Alicia was responsible for the care and management of many top-level dressage and event horses and worked with top trainers.
Upon her return to the US, Alicia became assistant manager at Red Horse Stables in Southbury, CT. To continue her growth as an instructor and horse trainer Alicia later worked for 2.5 years at Lion Hill Farm in Easton, CT. Alicia has since continued her riding career working and competing in the jumper and hunter ring as well as Eventing through Preliminary level. Alicia is certified through Equissage as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist and continues to use massage as a tool for N&C Equestrian’s lesson and competition horses to help assist in achieving the best quality of care.
Alicia and Charlotte have been working together since 2001, and make a great match for the business. From low resistance training to competing and horse management, they share the same approach towards training and goals for success, which is why they continue to grow as a team. They are dedicated equine professionals and are passionate about their clients, human and equestrian.
Kailyn Stephens
Kailyn started riding with Adrianna Kerr at Eventful Riding in Massachusetts. She rode there until her sophomore year of high school, when she then rode her own horse, Clifden, on my own time. Kailyn got Clifden (Cliffy), a 14.2hh flea-bitten gray Connemara pony, while in the 7th grade. The pair evented together through Beginner Novice and competed in dressage through training 3. Kailyn took Cliffy to the occasional hunter/jumper shows as well where they competed in 2'6". Cliffy is now 27 years old.
Kailyn attended Fairfield University for her undergraduate biochemistry degree. While earning her undergrad, Kailyn competed in IHSA, holding the title of Team Captain for three of those years. Kailyn also spent time volunteering with Pilot House Therapeutic Riding Center in Fairfield, CT for a year and several other years with Equine Partners in Hopkinton, MA. Kailyn is currently working towards a Master's degree in secondary chemistry education.
Kailyn has vast experience working at summer barn camps growing up with Eventful Riding, which is where she started teaching. She loves working with kids and watching them learn about horses, horse care, and riding while seeing their growth as riders. Kailyn has always wanted to pursue a career in teaching, which led her to her current educational path in education.
Kailyn is thankful for the opportunity provided by N&C to teach beginner lessons and run camps on weekends during the school year. Kailyn is excited to work with kids and beginner adults to develop foundations in riding and horse care to facilitate a greater interest in the sport and hopefully inspire them to continue for a long time.
